While teaching, she was a member of her school’s improvement team, PBIS committee, and Restorative Justice committee. She also taught a literacy course to all new teachers in District 47. Mrs. Bauer received her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Aurora University and as a part of her internship, she served as the Assistant Principal of the Extended School Year program. Currently, She is a first-grade teacher at Emmons Elementary and has a husband, Jake, and a 10-week old baby girl named Ellarose.
