Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee
Bilingual Parent Advisory Committees (BPAC) are established in school districts that have Transitional Bilingual Education programs. BPAC meets four times per year and attendees are parents/guardians, community members, and school staff.
Goals
The overarching goal is to meet the needs of bilingual families. Below are ways that this is achieved.
-
Discuss Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) programming and ACCESS testing
-
Review the Bilingual Service Plan
-
Help plan, improve, and give feedback on the bilingual and EL programs in our schools.
-
Support academics with topics of interest for families
-
Connect families with community resources
-
Meet and get to know other bilingual families
Join BPAC
Join our Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee and help us strengthen programs and support for our multilingual learners! We welcome families to share input, learn together, and partner with the district to enhance student success.
