Mr. Espinos

Mike Espinos is a STEM communicator, Roboticist, and writer who travels the country promoting STEM education and non-traditional teaching methods. He has spoken for educational organizations such as the International Society of Technology Educators, Illinois Computer Educators, the American Library Association, and the Society of Women Engineers. Additionally, Mr. Espinos speaks at many Pop-Culture events about the importance of STEM education and the future of the education profession. He has spoken at Denver Comic Con, Gary Con, and the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo.

Mr. Espinos has been a guest on many podcasts and streams. He has been consulted by experts on his experience working with technology and education. It is his passion for improving education and encouraging technology literacy that has led to him being named an Ambassador for Education by the Society of Women Engineers in 2017, nominated for a fellowship with Teach Plus, Illinois in 2018, and serving as the Vice Chair of the National Education Association's Science Caucus since 2017.

Outside of the classroom Mr. Espinos works to raise money for the Shriners Hospitals as a member of Medinah Shrine by marching in parades as a Highlander. He also sits on the state board of the Illinois Masonic Children's Fund helping to manage a multi-million-dollar charity to provide the best care possible for children who have been orphaned.
