Welcome to 8th Grade Math
My name is Ms. Tindell and I will be asking you to join me on a quest to understand algebra this year. I have been a teacher for 30 years (WOW, almost twice most of your ages) with 25 years being at Antioch Upper Grade School. I have always taught 8th grade and love the curriculum of introducing and getting into the hard core concepts of algebra (x, y, and z really rock!!!!).
I live in Antioch with my two kids (Joe-20 and Sidney-19). Joe is going to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater studying business and Sidney is going to Purdue University studying chemistry. Besides my kids, my favorites are white chocolate, purple, and having boneless wings at Buffalo Wild Wings (yum yum Asian Zing). My hobbies include scrapbooking, camping, and playing Toy Blast.
Success in my class depends on you using the following resources to help you:
The best way to contact me is by email at email@example.com. I usually check email in the morning, at lunch, and then after school. Please allow me 24 hours to get back to you.
Assignments follow my grading policy as outlined in the tab at the left. Use your Google Classroom to see a video lesson associated with the concept and a link to the assignment.
The best way to get reminders about upcoming tests, quizzes, or projects is to look at my Weekly Calendar link on this website. I will send an email about Module/Unit Tests because any missing work from that Module/Unit will be due on the day of the assessment.
Grades are updated weekly usually during the weekend. Please check your grades on Mondays through Power School to view the most up-to-date progress.
