Hello!

​ My name is Miss. Gerdes! I have been teaching for 5 years now. I started teaching 3rd grade in Zion, IL after graduating from Illinois State University in 2017. I am currently working on my Masters and will be graduating in December of 2022.  

I live in Kenosha, WI where I get to enjoy Lake Michigan, go on runs and hit the bags at the local boxing gym. I also enjoy spending time with my family, especially my little nieces Tate and Campbell. 

One of my favorite things to do during the summer is volunteer at Holiday Home Camp near Lake Geneva, WI. I love spending time with the kids! Teaching them how to swim, singing silly camp songs, and eating s'mores at the campfire are just a few of my favorite things to do. 

When I'm not teaching or at the lake, I love to travel. My favorite places I have been are London, England and Chiavenna, Italy and, most recently, Reykjavik, Iceland.  I hope to travel to Thailand or New Zealand next!
