Report Cards

D34 believes in maintaining a strong partnership between school and home, and report cards are a key component of this collaboration.Report cards provide valuable insights into your child's academic progress, helping you stay informed about their achievements and areas for growth. While report cards are just one way we communicate with you, they play a vital role in our shared goal of supporting your child's educational journey.

For our learners in grades K-5, we use Standards-Based Report Cards. These report cards focus on specific learning goals and standards, providing detailed feedback on your child's progress in meeting each standard. This approach allows for a clearer understanding of their strengths and areas that may need additional support.

Students in grades 6-8 receive Traditional Report Cards, which utilize letter grades to reflect overall performance in each subject area. This format offers a comprehensive view of your child's academic standing and helps prepare them for future educational milestones.

Trimester report cards are posted in PowerSchool within each student's account at the end of each trimester, ensuring timely access to this important information. We encourage you to review the report cards and engage with your child's teachers to foster their continued growth and success.

RESOURCES

K-5 Criteria for Success

Grades K-5 utilize Criteria for Success Sheets to provide a clear and detailed understanding of your child's learning progress. These sheets outline the specific skills and knowledge that students are expected to acquire at each grade level. By breaking down the standards into manageable and observable criteria, they offer a comprehensive view of your child's strengths and areas for improvement.

Illinois State Report Card

Each year, the Illinois State Board of Education issues Summative Designations to schools across the state as part of the Illinois Report Card. These designations reflect multiple measures of school performance and growth, including student achievement, school climate, and readiness indicators. They help districts understand strengths, identify areas for improvement, and continue to support high-quality learning experiences for all students.

For 2025, all Antioch CCSD 34 schools eligible for a designation received a rating of Commendable:
  • Antioch Upper Grade School: Commendable
  • Hillcrest Elementary School: Commendable
  • Oakland Elementary School: Commendable
  • W.C. Petty Elementary School: Commendable
The Mary Kay McNeill Early Learning Center is “Not Rated,” as early childhood programs are not assigned Summative Designations under the current state reporting system.
