Student Lunch Accounts
We encourage pre-payment for meals by accessing RYCOR through POWERSCHOOL on our District Website. We encourage all families to monitor their Food Service Account Balances. Money can be sent to your child’s school in an envelope marked with FIRST and LAST names on the envelope, along with the Teacher's name.
Negative Lunch Balance
A student with a balance of -$15.00 may be unable to charge any lunch or milk to their account. Printed notifications and emails will be sent home weekly for low or negative lunch balances. Phone calls are made weekly with high negative balances. Send your student with a cold lunch and drink until their balances are paid. Please send in money so your student's lunch account does not go negative.
End of Year Lunch Balance
Any funds remaining at the end of the school year are rolled over into the student's lunch account for the upcoming year. We do not want any negative lunch balances to roll over to the next school year. Please send in money to pay any outstanding balances.
For eighth grade graduates or students that are not returning to the District, parents/guardians must request that any leftover funds be transferred to a sibling or be refunded. Request for transfers or reimbursement must be received by May 31st. Reimbursements must be $10.00 or more to be refunded. Remaining lunch money can be donated to the Angel Fund, helping students in need in D34.
Families receiving Free/Reduced Meal Benefits are reminded to re-apply each year. This benefit does not automatically renew. An Income Eligibility Application and a Fee Waiver Form must be filled out to renew your benefits for the current school year. If your child qualifies for Free Lunch, they must take the entire Lunch. If they purchase milk only, this is at the cost of $0.35 to your family.
