Mrs. Wollner's News

  • What are we working on?

    Name Writing

Continue to work with your student on writing their first and last name. Students should work on using a capital letter for the 1st letter and lowercase for the rest.  Your student should also be able to orally tell you the letters in their name.

    Number Writing

Students should practice writing the numbers 0-10 correctly.

    Letters and Sounds

Each month we will cover several new letters.  We will learn the letter names, the sounds they make, and the letter formation.

    Whole group reading

In reading we will listen to many read alouds.  Students will work on their listening skills while reading and work to comprehend the most important parts of the story.

We are working on making connections to the stories, events and characters.

     Writing

In writing, we are working on drawing and writing about things we know a lot about!  We are writing about our school, and our family.

     Math

In math, we are working on counting, sorting, and classifying groups of objects, up to the number 5.
