High Frequency Words

  • High Frequency Words

Please see the links at the bottom of the page to review the Kindergarten high frequency words we will be using this year. Each week, we will introduce new words for your child to learn and use while reading and spelling in the classroom and at home.

Here are some games you can play at home with your child to help them recognize and spell the words correctly!

    1. Write the words on index cards and play coin toss. Toss a coin onto a word and have your child say that word.

    2. Play Who Am I? For example - I have three letters, I end with d, I rhyme with mad - 'had'.

    3. Make the words using play dough, stamps, or magnetic letters.
