About Mrs. Faith

  •     My husband and I  I am looking forward to a fun-filled, educational year!  I would like to take a minute to introduce myself. I began teaching in Antioch School District #34 in 1985. After five years of teaching math at the Upper Grade, I transferred to Antioch Elementary School, teaching both second and third grade here. I have my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Northern Illinois University with an emphasis in Math and Reading. I have since continued my education by taking many classes in all the academic areas as well as technology.

I celebrated 34 years of marriage this summer to my wonderful husband Bob. We have five children and two very playful dogs at home in McHenry. Midnight is a 9 1/2 year old black lab and Sierra is a 9 year old Pomeranian/Poodle mix.  My oldest child is Ryan and he is 30. He graduated from NIU with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics-Secondary Education and from Boise State University with a Master's Degree in Educational Technology. He taught Physics at Zion Benton High School for 4 years and is now the Director of Technology for both high school campuses with Zion Benton. My daughter, Ashley, is 28 and has been married for three years. She is also a teacher. She teaches English at Grant High School and is in charge of Student Council as well as the Winter Guard coach. Her husband is a store manager for Jewel-Osco. They have blessed me with identical twin grandsons this past June! They are adorable! My middle son, Eric, is 21 and graduated from Rock Valley College with a degree in Aircraft Maintenance. He works full time at O'Hare and is recently engaged. Katie and Kyle are my two youngest and are twins. They turned 19 in March.  Katie's love is horses. She is a member of the Cowgirl Hustle Drill Team and is an avid barrel racer. She is graduting next May from Black Hawk College in Galva with a double degree in Equine Science and Horse Science Technology. Her dream is to own her own stable and teach horseback riding lessons as well as run a horse rescue.
Family Picture Kyle wants to become an Computer Science Engineer. He is in his 2nd year at McHenry County College and will be transferring to University of Wisconsin-Platteville for his remaining two years.  As you can imagine, I am very proud of all my kids and am looking forward to the next chapter in their lives. My house may not be the hustle and bustle that it once used to be, but weekends are full of family fun and adventures as we all get together for our Sunday meals at my house.

In my spare time, I enjoy camping, boating, and reading. I look forward to taking a vacation every year with my family and enjoy the time we share.
