  • Requests to Talk to Social Worker/Psychologist

Request to talk to Social Worker/Psychologist

    Families,

As a way to reach all students, there has been a google form created that students or parents can access to report that they or their child needs someone to talk to.   The form is for a student or parent to fill out if the child for example is having anxiety, having a problem with a friend, dealing with a loss at home, feeling angry, etc. and needs someone to touch base with them and help them problem solve.  Once the student or parent have filled out the form, Mrs. Luoma (our school psychologist) or Mrs. Buechner (our school social worker) will reach out to parents and set up a time to meet with the child.

  • Accessing Our Class

Posted by Courtney Rieb on 8/20/2020 6:00:00 AM

    Good morning,

ALL links to access our Zoom meetings will be shared out via Google Classroom. Please make sure your child is checking Google Classroom for the links. They will be shared out right before the meeting. If you get a message saying that you are waiting for the host to start the meeting, it means that you are a little early. If you are in the waiting room, please be patient as I admit students in.

    Thanks!

    - Ms. Rieb

  • First Week Plans

Posted by Courtney Rieb on 8/18/2020 8:00:00 AM

    Hello everyone!

Yesterday I posted the general schedule we will be following once we start with curriculum.

Our first week of school will look a bit different. We will be spending more time synchronously as we get to know each other. Specials times, lunch breaks, and the end of our day will remain the same. Check out this document to see what we will be up to in our first couple of days.

*NOTE: All links for Zoom meetings will only be posted on Google Classroom (for security reasons) as will all assignments. Also, based on pacing, the times may be a bit off from the schedule.

  • Our Class Schedule

Posted by Courtney Rieb on 8/17/2020 8:00:00 AM

Please see the attached schedule for what each day of our week will look like.

    A few notes:

    • The first week will look a bit different as we won't be diving into curriculum yet. We will spend the first week getting to know each other and becoming more comfortable with technology.
    • Synchronous time = live teaching on Zoom
    • Asynchronous time = individual work time, small groups meeting with Ms. Rieb
    • Synchronous time may run longer than the schedule says. This will be for additional instruction for students. Please have your child stay on the call until we are completely done.
