AUGS- Book Drive Through Feb. 8

Did you know? In middle income neighborhoods the ratio is 13 books to every 1 child. In low income neighborhoods the ratio is 1 book for every 300 children. AUGS is having a children's used book drive to benefit children in the surrounding area through Bernie's Book Bank. Books from 6th grade level and below, including board books are now being accepted. AUGS- Yearbook Sales

Yearbooks are on sale now through February 29. The cost of $15 may be made by check, payable to AUGS, or cash. Please use the yearbook order form and return it to Mrs. Maday or Mrs. Hook only. Please do not return your order to any other teachers.


AUGS- Spelling Bee Champion
Antioch Upper Grade School
On January 25, AUGS held its annual Spelling Bee consisting of 40 students. This year's champion is 8th grader Greg H.! Greg went over 15 rounds to win with the word "career". Greg will continue on to the Prairie Crossing Sectional on February 21. Good luck Greg! Congratulations to our runners-up! 2nd place: 8th grader, Maia T, 3rd place: 6th grader, Mackay S.

AUGS- Box Tops for Education Contest

We will be collecting 2012* Box Tops from January 9 through April 13. Box Tops allows us to earn extra cash to purchase educational and athletic equipment for our school.
